Covid 19 Update

with the current dark times we hope you and your family are home, safe, well and enjoying all the extra time with your fur babies. we are sure they are loving their mums and dads being around so much more.

now that the country is on lockdown and we should all be staying at home unless absolutely necessary, we have had to give a lot of thought to whether we should continue to accept new orders through our website.

with easter around the corner and people unable to got to the shops we have decided that we will continue to accept orders but must make changes in how we get these to you.

we have always only used royal mail 24, giving next day delivery to the majority of our customers. while we will continue to only use this service, talking to the staff at our local sorting office, we have been advised that:

  • they will continue to accept parcels from business customers such as us for as long as they are able.
  • due to staff shortages, parcels should get through with only small delays, but could take much longer to arrive, with the potential to take up to a month for royal mail to deliver them to you.

further while we have always despatched any orders received before 3pm on the same day, to reduce risk to our family for the time being orders will be despatched once per week on a monday (if we are advised that we must not continue or are told by royal mail that our local sorting office is not open to parcels then we may have to cancel orders which are waiting for despatch).

as you can imagine we are heartbroken at having  to change the way we do things, but compared to the health and safety of us, our family and the amazing posties (still turning up to do their jobs under daunting circumstances) there really is no choice.

we hope and pray that it wont be long until things return to normal and we look forward to the day that we can start taking our pop up boutique out to dog events and meet more of our lovely customers and of course their fur babies.

but more importantly all at HomeyGifts, hope that you and yours stay healthy, happy and sane and that we can all get through this together!
